Hours after the Trump Administration signaled that it would administratively move to ban ‘bump stocks,’ which allow semi-automatic weapons to be fired at a much more rapid rate, lawmakers in both parties said it was time for the Congress to enact those regulations into law, as opponents of the decision vowed to immediately challenge the President’s plan in court. “We will be filing our lawsuit very, very soon,” the Gun Owners of America said in a written statement. “After all, in the coming days, an estimated half a million bump stock owners will have the difficult decision of either destroying or surrendering their valuable property – or else risk felony prosecution,” the group added. At the White House, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed that is the plan, making clear that bump stocks will be illegal as of March 21, 2019. “A 90 period now begins which persons in possession of bump stock type devices must turn those … [Read more...] about Trump ban on ‘bump stocks’ to face immediate legal challenge

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed Acosta's tweet in a statement, claiming the suspension of his press credentials stemmed from his "placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern." She called the behaviour "absolutely unacceptable." CNN posted its own commented saying she had "lied", "provided … [Read more...] about Trump BANS CNN reporter Jim Acosta from White House after calling him ‘rude, terrible person’ in fiery clash
DONALD Trump is clamping down on the export of civilian nuclear power technology to China - amid fears it will be hijacked by the military. US intelligence experts are seriously concerned the valuable information will be diverted to power new generations of Chinese submarines and warships. The moves came just 24 hours after the arrest of a Chinese intelligence officer for allegedly stealing secret information from GE Aviation - one of the world's largest suppliers of jet engines. It appears to be part of a more concerted effort by the White House to pile pressure on China beyond the tariffs Trump has announced on Chinese goods. Military experts fear the illicit use of the US's advanced nuclear techonology could speed the emergence of the Chinese military as a force with real global reach, reports the New York Times. "The United States cannot ignore the national security implications of China's efforts to obtain nuclear technology outside of established processes of … [Read more...] about Donald Trump bans nuclear power exports to China amid fears they will be hijacked by the military for use on submarines and warships
