BURGER King was blasted last night after it emerged its latest gut-buster contains a day’s worth of saturated fats. The 1,130-calorie Texas BBQ King packs more than half a pound of beef, smoked bacon and crispy onion rings. It is also slathered in tangy sauce, melted cheese and mayonnaise. Its total of 27 grams of saturated fats compares to Public Health England’s recommended limit of 20 for women and 30 for men. PHE also advises Brits to eat no more than 1,800 calories a day. Its chief nutritionist Alison Tedstone said: “Grabbing food on the go is now the norm and it is important companies in this sector help support healthier choices.” And Paul Evans, of the British Obesity Society, said: “Once again, fast food chains are contributing to the increasing annual costs of obesity. “It is very hard to see how consuming 1,130 calories of burger in one sitting is contributing to a healthy lifestyle.” Burger King did not comment. During his self-titled weekday morning show on dominant Twin Cities pop radio station KDWB (101.3 FM), host Dave Ryan dishes celebrity gossip, offers relationship advice and talks about everything from pineapple boobs (use your imagination) to his love language (maybe don’t). He’ll talk anything and everything — well, almost everything. The status of his teenage son’s romantic relationships, he says, is off limits. So are certain marital issues. But then he proceeds to share a piece of super-intimate, ridiculously personal and, if we’re being honest, slightly gross information about his wife.
