A man who allegedly hurled an anti-gay slur at a woman before punching her from behind on the subway in an attack that fractured her spine has been arrested, police say. The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force arrested Allah Allahseed for the attack on Thursday, NYPD Chief of Detective Dermot Shea tweeted. "Once again, NYC has made it clear: we have #NoPlaceForHate," Shea wrote. Cops Release Sketch of White Suspect in Subway Attack on Black Mother of Two
Police have released a sketch of the man who allegedly punched and stabbed a black mother of two when she got off the subway in Brooklyn last week -- an attack her family has said was racially motivated. The suspect is described as being a white man in his 30s; the sketch released Tuesday is based on a witness description, police say, though it's not clear if that witness was the victim, 57-year-old Ann Marie Washington. Washington was hospitalized Sunday, two days after the attack, after having surgery for a collapsed lung due to the stabbing, her family told NBC 4 New York. She was on her way home from work Friday evening and had just stepped off the subway at the Church Avenue stop in Brooklyn when she was attacked, advocates said. The man, who was white, punched her in the mouth and stabbed her in the chest while calling her a "black b----," advocates said. Washington, who is black, is a native of Trinidad. Cops are looking for two creeps who molested 15-year-old girls in separate subway attacks in Brooklyn and Manhattan, police said Wednesday. A drunken pervert assaulted the first teen by touching her thigh and trying to kiss her on a northbound D train near the Bay 50 Street station in Coney Island around 3:30 p.m. Friday, cops said. The girl fought back by pushing the wasted weirdo over, cops said. Police shared photos she snapped of her assailant before moving to another train car. He is described as Hispanic, between the ages 35 and 45, about 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 and 160 to 180 pounds. He was last wearing a black knit cap, black hooded sweater, black jeans and tan work boots.
