When it comes to a healthy physique, people generally think of losing weight. But for others, putting on a few pounds may be just what’s needed to feel and look their best. While this may seem like a simple task, it can be easier said than done. The truth is, healthy weight gain can’t be achieved by binging on cheeseburgers and fries – in fact, putting on pounds in an accelerated timeframe can pose a significant risk to your health. Thai cave rescue – schoolboys could face terrifying race against time to navigate deadly 1.2mile dive before rain floods cave ‘in DAYS’
THAI schoolboys found alive in flooded caves could be handed diving masks within hours and told to swim for it - in a desperate bid to save them from rising water levels. Rescuers' top plan is to remove the trapped lads, aged between 11 and 16, by guiding them underwater through the 1.2mile network - despite none of them being swimmer or able to use oxygen equipment. Seven divers, including a doctor and a nurse, joined the group inside the Tham Luang caves in northern Thailand. But Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda said the evacuating the lads "must speed up" as soon as possible before more rain falls and exacerbates the flooding. He said the boys would be probably brought out via the same complicated route through which their rescuers entered. But he admitted if something went awry, some of the kids could die. What we know so far The football team made up of 12 boys aged between 11 and 16 and their coach ran into trouble on 23 June. Thai schoolboys got trapped in flooded cave attempting an INITIATION to scrawl their names at end of 2.5km tunnel – as coach faces arrest
A FOOTBALL coach who led his schoolboy team down a perilous cave may face arrest for placing the youngsters in danger, according to local reports. The 25-year-old, named locally as “Ekkapol Janthawong”, will reportedly be quizzed by cops for bringing the 12 boys, aged from 11 to 16, into the sprawling Tham Luang cave complex allegedly as part of a local initiation rite. It is understood the boys were taken to the caves on June 23 for a local practice that involves scrawling their names on a wall at the end of the tunnel. When asked about charges, Colonel Komsan Saard-an, chief of the Mae Sai Police Station, told the Khaosod English paper: “We have to study the matter carefully first.” The group are thought to have entered the cave when it was dry and sudden heavy rains blocked the exit. Thai cave rescue – missing schoolboys found alive after nine days lost in flooded caves will have to learn to dive or could be trapped for FOUR MONTHS
TWELVE Thai schoolboys who were found alive after nine days lost in flooded caves will have to learn to dive or could be trapped for MONTHS. British rescuers were the first to reach schoolboy footballers last night after struggling through narrow passages and murky waters of the Thamg Luang cave in Chiang Rai. Voices of the divers can be heard on footage as they talk to the terrified boys after their torches revealed them cowering in a darkened chamber - telling them "many people are coming, it's OK". But heavy rain is expected to cause waters to rise even further - and their ordeal could last as many as three or four more months before they subside. There are now discussions about teaching the kids to dive, then using Navy SEALs divers to escort them out of the cave one-by-one. However, this is fraught with difficulty. None of the boys can swim, while diving requires mental fortitude and panicking when swimming - often in pitch black conditions - can be deadly.
