THE Extinction Rebellion has seen protesters take their message about the need for urgent action on climate change to the heart of London. We take a look at the protest and what they have achieved as well as if there are plans for any future action. Has Extinction Rebellion stopped protesting in London? The Extinction Rebellion (XR) protests have now come to an end after 10 days with a closing ceremony at Marble Arch. The demonstrations began at 6pm on 15 April, with protesters blocking roads at Marble Arch. They then before moved on to Oxford Circus, Waterloo Bridge, Piccadilly Circus and Parliament Square. Activists also caused more than £6,000 of damage at the Shell headquarters in Belvedere Road. Over the next 10 days activists glued themselves to and sat on top of trains on London's light railway and marched on Heathrow Airport and staged "die-ins". NIGEL Farage has branded Theresa May’s Brexit delay as “an outright betrayal” as he joins the Brexit March to Leave protest. The former Ukip leader said the prime minister’s policy to leave the EU after the March 29 deadline was “one of the saddest chapters in the history of our nation”. A GIRL aged 13 has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a cop at a pro-Brexit "yellow vest" protest in London. Up to 100 demonstrators clashed with cops in the capital today and set off smoke bombs outside Downing Street during the protest. The teenager held by cops was one of four arrested on Westminster Bridge today as traffic was brought to a standstill. Protesters marched across the country calling for a no-deal Brexit as they branded Theresa May a "traitor". In London, agitators wearing yellow hi-vis vests stood in front of cars and stormed down Whitehall towards Trafalgar Square in London. Transport for London warned of delays in the area as the Brexiteers sat in the road and blocked traffic. A PORTSMOUTH mum fighting to get a life-changing drug available on the NHS will be marching to Parliament in London to protest next week.
