PROSTITUTES marched through London today demanding better working conditions to mark International Women's Day. The women held up banners reading "sex work is work" as they demonstrated in Leicester Square tonight. They were led by English Collectives of Prostitutes, who were protesting against what they claim are the sexist, racist and criminal laws that jeopardise the lives of sex workers. The group say current laws drive prostitutes underground, putting them at greater risk of physical harm and poor health. Prostitution is legal in the UK but soliciting in a public place, kerb crawling, owning or managing a brothel, pimping and pandering are all crimes.'SEX WORK IS WORK' The protesters said the current laws don't protect them enough as they marched through London on International Women's Day. Youth Strike 4 Change is organised by the UK Student Climate Network and UK Youth Climate Coalition. Students across the country took part in a strike because of an “alarming” lack of action from the Government to prevent climate change. The group is calling on the government to include young people in decision making when it comes to global warming. They are also calling for the voting age to be lowered to 16 so they can influence policy. A GIRL aged 13 has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a cop at a pro-Brexit "yellow vest" protest in London.
