EVERY time Britain thinks it's seen the back of David Cameron, he pops back up again to cause more trouble. After writing his memoirs and acquiring a luxury shed, the next thing on the ex-PM's to-do list is starring in a new TV series, it's been revealed. The former Prime Minister is in talks with leading political film-maker Denys Blakeway for a multi-part BBC documentary on his time in charge, The Times reported. If a deal is sealed he will follow in the footsteps of Margaret Thatcher, Sir John Major and Tony Blair, who have all done TV with Mr Blakeway. It's though that the series could come out next autumn as part of moves to promote his book. Mr Cameron, who quit after losing the EU referendum to Leave in 2016, signed an £800k book deal with Harper Collins. TVE recently started to air trailers for El Continental, its new drama focusing on criminals in 1920s Madrid, and social media users quickly pointed out striking similarities between the aesthetic and that of British international smash hit Peaky Blinders, which is set in Birmingham during the same time period.
