DONALD Trump has called for a change in the libel laws after a new book said he had the intellect of a 10-year-old. The president blasted a new book by Watergate journalist Bob Woodward saying it was "full of lies". Taking to his favourite medium of Twitter, Trump railed against America's libel laws and called on congress to change them. Hew wrote: "Isn’t it a shame that someone can write an article or book, totally make up stories and form a picture of a person that is literally the exact opposite of the fact, and get away with it without retribution or cost. "Don’t know why Washington politicians don’t change libel laws?" In the book, Fear: Trump In The White House, Woodward reveals a string of conversations with top White House officials. What we know so far: Trump is said to have told Defense Sec James Mattis to 'f***ing kill' Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad - but was ignored Mattis 'likened the President's intelligence to that of a fifth-or-sixth grader' … [Read more...] about Donald Trump demands change to libel laws after being accused of having the intellect of a 10-year-old in Bob Woodward’s bombshell book
DONALD Trump ordered his defense chief to "f***ing kill" Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad after a chemical attack on civilians last year, a bombshell book claims. James Mattis is said to have told the President that he would "get right on it" after being told to "f***ing kill the lot of them" — but then dismissed his order. The stunning revelation comes in a new book by legendary journalist Bob Woodward. According to the account, after speaking with Trump, Mattis, 67, told his staff: “We’re not going to do any of that.” Instead the US launched a conventional missile strike on the Syrian airfield believed to be where the regime launched its suspected sarin attack in April 2017. In one incendiary extract, Woodward wrote: "Mattis was particularly exasperated, telling associates that the president acted like - and had the understanding of- a 'fifth or sixth grader'". What we know so far: Trump is said to have told Defense Sec James Mattis to 'f***ing kill' Syrian … [Read more...] about Donald Trump ‘ordered assassination of Syrian tyrant Assad but Defense Secretary ignored command after pretending he’d ‘get right on it’’
DONALD Trump’s aides say he has turned the White House into “Crazytown” and is a national security risk, a new book by Watergate journalist Bob Woodward claims. They swipe papers from his desk to stop him signing dangerous orders, it adds. Chief of Staff John Kelly reportedly raged: “He’s an idiot. We’re in Crazytown. This is the worst job I’ve had.” Defence Secretary James Mattis likened his intellect to “a fifth or sixth grader” — a child aged 11 or 12. Mr Trump’s lawyer John Dowd is said to have deemed him a “f****** liar” and warned of jail if he agreed to a formal quiz over Russia links. The President did not want to testify. After trying to prep him, Mr Dowd said: “You’re not a good witness. I’m afraid I just can’t help you.” Fear: Trump in the White House — by famed Watergate reporter Bob Woodward — also details his rants. He called Attorney General Jeff … [Read more...] about Bombshell book reveals chaotic and dysfunctional White House and Donald Trump’s own aides say he’s an ‘idiot’
JAMES Comey was the seventh Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the USA until he was dismissed in May 2017 by Donald Trump. The 57-year-old former lawyer replaced Robert Mueller after being nominated by then President Barack Obama. Why did Donald Trump fire James Comey? Trump dismissed Comey on May 9, 2017, less than four year into his 10-year term. Comey learned of his dismissal via TV news reports. Initially the reason given by the White House for Comey being fired was due to a recommendation by the US Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his deputy Rod Rosenstein. Rosenstein had sent a memo to Sessions, forwarded to Trump, which listed objections to Comey's actions during the investigation into Senator Hillary Clinton's emails. However, it later emerged that Trump had requested, on May 8, Sessions and Rosenstein detail in writing a case against Comey. Trump told reports on May 10 he had fired Comey because he "wasn't doing a good job". White House Press … [Read more...] about Why did Donald Trump fire James Comey and who replaced him as FBI Director?
