A MYSTERIOUS 911 call made just before a 13-year-old’s parents were shot dead could be the key to her disappearance. Jayme Closs went missing from her home in the US town of Barron, Wisconsin on Monday after police discovered the bodies of her parents James and Denise. Police now believe Jayme was inside the home when her parents were killed, according to evidence from the scene and a mysterious 911 call. Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said told CNN: “We believe Jayme was in the home at the time of the homicides and we believe she's still in danger.” During the 911 call in question, the dispatcher heard a disturbance in the background, but no one spoke directly on the phone, Fitzgerald said. The FBI has joined the investigation. Fitzgerald added: “They are the experts in breaking down 911 tapes, looking at our phones, and taking care of all evidence in that manner.” Police arrived at the house less than four minutes after the 911 call to find no … [Read more...] about Jayme Closs missing theory – Does mysterious 911 call made moments before 13-year-old’s parents were found dead hold the key to her disappearance?
Jayme Closs, the 13-year-old girl who has been missing since her parents were found shot to death in their home early Monday in Barron, Wis., is now listed on the FBI’s top kidnapping and missing persons page. The FBI said Thursday that “out of an abundance of caution” it was expanding its search for the teen nationwide by sending a digital “missing person” poster to media organizations and partners across the country for display. Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald has said repeatedly this week that authorities believe Closs, who was in the home at the time of the killings, is alive but in danger. Deputies found the bodies of James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, after responding to a 911 call that came from the home early Monday. Fitzgerald has said that no one from the home spoke with dispatchers, who could hear a disturbance in the background. When deputies arrived at the house within 4 minutes of the end of the 911 call, they found the bodies of … [Read more...] about FBI adds Jayme Closs to top missing persons list
The FBI says it's expanded its search nationwide for a 13-year-old Wisconsin girl missing since her parents were found shot to death in their home Monday morning. Authorities say Jayme Closs was in the house when her parents – 46-year-old Denise and 56-year-old James Closs – were killed. The girl, who was ruled out as a suspect on the first day, was gone when deputies arrived. Relatives of Jayme told CBS News the front door to the house was shot in. When officers responded minutes after a 911 call to the home in Barron, about 80 miles northeast of Minneapolis, they found no suspicious vehicles, says CBS Minnesota. The FBI said Thursday that, "out of an abundance of caution," it was sending a digital Missing Person poster to local media partners across the country for display. More than 100 local and state FBI agents have been working on the case, and officials say hundreds of tips have come in from the community and people around the country, the station reports. … [Read more...] about Jayme Closs: FBI expands search nationwide for missing Wisconsin girl
BARRON, WIS. — Authorities in Wisconsin put out the call Thursday for an army of volunteers to start searching for Jayme Closs, the 13-year-old girl who has been missing since early Monday, when her parents were fatally shot while she was in the home. Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald issued a plea on Facebook for 100 volunteers to report to the intersection of Hwy. 8 and 16th Street at 2 p.m. Thursday in the city of Barron to help conduct "a routine search for articles of evidentiary value that may be related to the incident." Volunteers must present valid photo identification and be able to walk on uneven terrain, the posting said. Proper footwear — hard-soled shoes — and clothing are required. They also must bring their own water. Fitzgerald said that if more volunteers are needed, "we will make those requests via social media," he wrote. Denise Closs, 46, and her husband, James Closs, 56, were shot to death in their home on the western edge of Barron, about … [Read more...] about Wisconsin sheriff calls for 100 volunteers to help search for 13-year-old Jayme Closs
