WATCH the hilarious moment a young girl passes out on a slingshot ride from screaming - after she ignores warnings from her friend about what's about to happen. At the start of the clip, the two friends talk about the terrifying slingshot ride they're about to go on. One of the girls, wearing a black top, says: "We are really doing this, there's no backing out now." In an attempt to comfort her friend, the young girl with bright-red hair and a graphic t-shirt, says: "Don't work yourself up or you are going to pass out." But twenty seconds into the slingshot ride, she's the one screaming and passing out in mid air. While her friend screams and laughs her heart out, the girl's eyes roll back into her head as she passes out and quickly comes to. As the ride is pelted up into the air again, the girl hilariously passes out again, while her friend laughs. MAHATMA Gandhi once said the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members. If so, three news stories in the past week might suggest Britain is standing just one millimetre away from the cliff face of irretrievable, mass inhumanity. Firstly, let’s turn to the pond life who constructed a cardboard model of Grenfell Tower — complete with cut-outs of adults and children in the windows — and set fire to it. One female onlooker (shame on her) shrieks, “Help me! Help me!” as the others laugh, while someone else boasts: “I made the burning people.” It’s not just that it’s shockingly distasteful, it’s the sheer callousness of it that renders one almost speechless with disbelief. What’s wrong with these people? Then there’s the group of lads in their late teens who thought it funny to spit at Janice Morris as she sat alone on a park bench, before later pelting her with flour and eggs. … [Read more...] about Teenagers who repaired a vandalised Tommy statue in Devon are true Brits — not the Grenfell effigy morons
By Martha Ross | [email protected] | Bay Area News Group PUBLISHED: October 2, 2018 at 9:26 am | UPDATED: October 2, 2018 at 10:25 pm For the second time in two months, Louis C.K. popped into New York City’s Comedy Cellar to perform a surprise stand-up routine — once again raising questions about whether he’s hoping for a comeback since admitting last year to engaging in multiple acts of sexual misconduct. From accounts by the New York Times and HuffPost, C.K.’s appearance Sunday night was met with a mixture of excitement and discomfort by audience members. There was wild applause when the host announced the 51-year-old comedian, and a warm send-off when he left, the Times reported. But some in the audience didn’t know what to make of C.K.’s failure to address the proverbial elephant in the room — his inappropriate behavior with female comedy colleagues, including instances in which he masturbated in front of multiple … [Read more...] about Louis C.K.’s sex-related joke about daughter leaves some uneasy in latest standup attempt
CAMBRIDGE, Ohio—The angry old white men in this no-frills meeting room in a $55-a-night hotel off Interstate 70 are mostly retired truck drivers and coal miners, the kind of blue-collar voters without college degrees who tend to get quoted in Rust Belt diners, defending President Donald Trump. They believe the system is rigged, that America has broken its promises to its working class, that the citizens who transport its goods, extract its energy, and shower after work rather than before have been shafted and forgotten. And while “economic anxiety” has become a punchline for pundits who believe Trump’s popularity with this demographic has more to do with racial resentment than trade or wages or health care, the economic anxiety in this room is real. These retirees are at risk of losing the pensions they worked for decades to secure, which is why they’ve gathered to hear the man they trust the most to fight for them in Washington. It’s not Trump.
