Two trauma patients are on their way to the emergency room at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida. One of them, a 30-year-old man*, was in an automobile accident. He has a collapsed lung, and he’s losing blood from what appears to be a fractured leg. The other patient, a 43-year-old woman, was working on the roof of her home and fell two stories from a ladder. She’s bleeding heavily from a cut to the head, and the paramedics who are transporting fear she may have internal bleeding, too.Amy Cassick gets the alert that these patients are en route.
