Denmark is among Europe’s healthiest countries but an obesity forecast exercise conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that the number of Danes who are overweight or obese is set to explode by 2030. The WHO results show that 27 percent of Danish men will be obese by 2030 as will 26 percent of Danish women. The proportion of Danish men who qualify as overweight is forecast to go from 57 percent to 68 percent, while women will see an even bigger jump, going from 42 percent to 54 percent overweight.
