I question how true the absence of technology is actually the case in the homes of many smart, savvy, families. If they don’t have a computer that their kid can use at home for doing homework, maybe their nanny takes their kid to the library, where they use the computer! How about the kid who gets out early from soccer practice and needs a ride home. Would she look for the nearest phone booth (about 10 miles away) and call her parents?
