(AP) — Forrest Gregg was remembered Wednesday as a gentle giant who was as comfortable playing Barbie dolls with his daughter as he was playing football for Vince Lombardi. Gregg died Friday at age 85 after a long fight with Parkinson's, a disease his neurologist and family believe might have been triggered by the countless concussions he sustained while playing football in the 1950s at SMU and in the NFL from 1956-71. "Forrest Gregg is one of the giants of the game," Hall of Fame President David Baker said, noting Gregg was one of a handful of players to win six NFL titles in a league that's celebrating its 100th season. Will he continue to be Tom Brady’s big-play weapon? Or is there a career-change in the offing for the greatest tight end in Patriots history? For quite a while, the pendulum has been swinging toward retirement. Gronkowski could change his mind, of course, play out the final year of his deal and perhaps beyond. But there’s a 50-50 chance he’s going to walk away. If Gronk does hang it up, what will it mean for Canton? Let’s just say it’s not likely he’ll rob himself of a gold jacket. WASHINGTON — In a ceremony at the White House on Friday, President Donald Trump bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Alan Page, the retired state Supreme Court Justice and Minnesota Vikings legend. Page was among a group of seven recipients of the nation’s highest civilian award. Troopers say they found marijuana in his vehicle By Monique Batson and Erica Apodaca Updated 10:06 am CDT, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 The father of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was jailed in Orange County this past weekend following a traffic stop on Texas 87, according to a news release from the Department of Public Safety. A trooper stopped a Cadillac Escalade driven by Nathaniel Prescott, 57, around 4 p.m. Saturday, the department said. The trooper reportedly found marijuana in the driver side door.
