THE BRITISH Communist party says there are no real differences between them and Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour, he is delivering their manifesto. Its leader Robert Griffiths said there is a lot of overlap with the veteran leftie’s policies including on Brexit, and suggested communists are now working to support Labour than their own party. Speaking to the Financial Times, he suggested Mr Corbyn appeared to be following the plan in one of the Communist Party's sacred texts, 1951’s The British Road to Socialism. It says step one is to have a left-wing takeover of the Labour party – which has happened – followed by electoral victory – which he has been unable to deliver. The third step is taking control of the state, followed by the fourth and final step of building a socialist society as a transition to Communism.
