Weight loss wisdom suggests chewing every bite 15 or more times to give your brain time to process what you're eating and send the signal that you're full. Now a group of studies has found that counting the bites themselves could be an effective way to lose weight. Knowing that dieters often underreport how many calories they eat, researchers from Clemson University conducted a number of studies that showed bites could be a more accurate measure of food intake. They also found that wearable technology that can count the bites for you and tell you when you've reached your limit can help you eat less. CALORIE limits could soon be introduced as the Government steps up the fight against flab. Public Health England (PHE) is looking into capping the calorific content in ready meals, sandwiches and pizzas. What are the new calorie limits? Craft brewery Dogfish Head has created the first light, low-calorie IPA. As in, there's finally a light beer that tastes like something besides light beer. The new Slightly Mighty Low-Cal IPA measures 4 percent alcohol and 95 calories, putting it on par (nutrition-wise) with Michelob Ultra. Norwegian hotel mogul Petter Stordalen previously invested millions in the EAT Foundation, but tucked into the burger which contained eight beef patties and 20 rashers of bacon.
