The steel and metal alloy armature was sold as part of Christie's auction of pop culture souvenir. The metal armature less than 2 feet tall was used at the climax of the film. The scene showing the King Kong climb to the top of the Empire State Building was made possible through the figurine. The metal skeleton was covered in cotton, rubber, liquid latex and rabbit's fur. However, the covering had torn off over the years. Posters and props from many other classic films, including Star Wars, Alien were sold at the event too. Home Insync Insync on January 22, 2009 The 62-year old British hippy icon Donovan has received the honor as 'Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters'. He has been recognized for his contribution to the French culture. Donovan rose to fame in the 1960 giving hits like "Mellow Yellow", "Sunshine Superman" and "Jennifer Juniper". Currently he is working in collaboration with the French band, Variety Lab for their yet-to be released singles. He said: "I take it for all the work I've done over the years to bring poetry back to popular culture."To get an honour like this confirmed to me that it was successful, that my work was accepted on my terms, rather than becoming an entertainer," he said. Renowned Spanish Author Javier Marias Passes Away Due To Lung Infection Post COVID-19

The novelist died in a hospital in Madrid due to complications from a lung infection, the Spanish EFE news agency reported. He had contracted COVID-19 earlier. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez mourned Marias's death in a tweet, describing Sunday as a "sad day for Spanish letters." He offered his condolences to the author's friends and family. "His extensive and talented work will forever be a fundamental part of our literature," Sanchez wrote. Born on September 20, 1951, in Madrid, the Spanish author wrote 16 novels, the last of which being Tomas Nevinson, which he published last year.
