Jillian Michaels, 44, got a ton of backlash for her criticism of the keto diet. Al Roker called the fitness trainer a bully. Andy Cohen, who previously called the diet "dumb," said Jillian is a "bad idea."Earlier this week, Jillian Michaels, 44, slammed the keto diet in a video for Women's Health. "You’re starving your cells," she said in the video. Instead, she urged using "common sense" when you’re eating—avoiding processed sugars and grains, sticking to whole foods, and eating lots of veggies. As you know, the National Climate Change Assessment report is out. I'm actually rather overwhelmed with it all. It is a turning point by way of full acknowledgment of the importance of climate change and the need to act. Good for you, government of the United States! One small item has crossed my desk this morning tangential to the assessment but so deliciously hilarious that I did not want to let it pass without comment. Part of the roll out of the assessment will involve President Obama speaking with meteorologists across the country. Friend of mine made the remark that Fox News wanted the meteorologists to ask Obama about Benghazi. I assumed he was joking. "Today" show meteorologist and co-host Al Roker found himself explaining to some confused viewers exactly what blackface means, following criticism over his Halloween costume choice in the wake of Megyn Kelly's scandal. Last week, NBC canceled her show "Megyn Kelly Today" after she defended the use of blackface as part of Halloween costumes, in a segment on her program. Hours earlier, the "Today" show co-hosts condemned her remarks, with Roker being one of her harshest critics. On Wednesday, Halloween, the group appeared on the air in '80s-inspired costumes. Roker dressed up as "Back to the Future" character Doc Brown, played by white actor Christopher Lloyd in the 1985 film. Some people commented online that Roker's choice of costume--and the 'Today' show's celebration of it--made him a hypocrite and constituted a double standard.
