A JEALOUS man who screamed “am I an animal?” as he stabbed his elderly female neighbour in the face has been jailed for at least 25 years. Louis Morgan, 34, attacked the 66-year-old shortly after stamping on his girlfriend’s head at their home in Immingham, Hull. Morgan was holding his partner’s four-year-old daughter under his arm as he inflicted a “traumatic” brain injury on the woman. When his neighbour confronted him over the attack, he smashed through her locked front door and picked up two knives. He chased her to the upstairs bathroom, where she was hiding, and repeatedly stabbed her. She had to pretend to be dead so that Morgan stopped and returned outside to his unconscious girlfriend and her daughter. A 999 call the woman made that was played out in court heard the woman screaming for help and Morgan shouting “am I an animal, am I?” Trapped between the toilet and shower, she was unaware she was being repeatedly stabbed with two knives. When police arrived at the scene, blood-stained Morgan was immediately arrested as paramedics attended to his victims. His girlfriend lay outside the house in a pool of blood, prosecutor Jeremy Evans told Sheffield Crown Court police. Morgan, of Manvers Street, west Hull, told police: “You were first on the scene.
